COMPANY PROFILE

Reach Business Advisory was born out of client requests to add value to their businesses. The concept began when the founder was an audit partner, dealing with, in particular small to medium sized, owner managed, businesses. The owners, kept requesting additional services which are out of scope from an auditing perspective. Clients began valuing the advise given in other areas of the business far more than the audit report provided.

During 2015, an introduction to Carl Gould and subsequent certification in the 7 Stages Advisors program resulted in the founder being able to apply a more methodical approach to these advisory interventions.

The company was then founded in September 2016.

CEO PROFILE

Gavin matriculated in 1988 at Christian Brothers College in Boksburg – Before entering the University of Witwatersrand, where he achieved his BCom and BAcc Degrees, he spent eighteen months in the Military which was the compulsory in South African at the time.

Gavin spent his time in the Auditing Profession since joining Deloitte and in 2002 he joined Moores Rowland, which became Mazars and in 2004 he was appointed as Partner – his duties involved working with Senior Level Management and Owners of Listed Companies and Small to Medium sized Businesses as well as being the appointed Training Officer.

His, interest and focus, ever since he started his Articles at Deloitte and later on with Mazars, were the Development of Staff and Clients – however, as Partner, he got to enjoy a greater insight into the Strategic side of Business, as well as the involvement in the management of an Audit Practice – the exposure he received as Partner into the intricacies of Corporate Business, especially the effects these could have on Small to Medium Size Businesses as well as Start-up Businesses, lead Gavin to start his own ADVISORY BUSINESS on the 1^st September 2016.
